Apple One (1) Year Limited Warranty What’s covered? Your Mac computer specific parts such as LCD display, Apple Memory, Hard drive, Main logic board, Optical drive, Keyboard, Mouse/Track Pad, Cables and Power cord.
Hardware Coverage If during the Coverage Period, you submit a valid claim by notifying Apple that a defect in materials and workmanship has arisen in the Covered Equipment. Apple will either repair the defect at no charge, using new or refurbished parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, original product becomes Apple’s property and the replacement product is your property with coverage for the remaining period of the Plan.
What is not covered? (i) Installation, removal or disposal of the Covered Equipment, or the provision of equipment while the Covered Equipment is being serviced; (ii) Damage caused by (a) a product that is not the Covered Equipment (b) accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire, earthquake or other external cause, (c) operating the Covered Equipment outside the permitted or intended uses described by the manufacturer, or (d) service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider (“AASP”); (iii) Covered Equipment with a serial number that has been altered, defaced or removed, or has been modified to alter its functionality or capability without the written permission of the manufacturer; (iv) Covered Equipment that has been lost or stolen. This Plan only covers Covered Equipment that is returned to Apple in its entirety; (v) Cosmetic damage to the Covered Equipment including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports; (vi) Consumable parts, such as batteries, except in respect of battery coverage under APP for iPod or unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials and workmanship; (vii) Preventative maintenance on the Covered Equipment; or (viii) Defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to normal aging of the product. Any other damage cause to machine by end customer or thru natural disaster will not be covered under warranty and repairable damage fee may apply in that case.
Obtaining Warranty Service Please access and review the online help resources (http://www.apple.com/support) of the product before requesting warranty service. If the product is still not functioning properly after making use of these resources, please contact MediaCenter (Apple Authorised Service Provider) using the information provided in the documentation. A MediaCenter representative will help determine whether your product requires service and, if it does, will inform you how Apple will provide it. Apple or its Apple Authorized Service Providers (MediaCenter) will provide warranty service on products that are tendered or presented for service during the Warranty Period, as permitted by law. Service options, parts availability and response times will vary according to country.
Storing Data If your product is capable of storing data or software programs, you should make periodic backup copies of the data and programs contained on the product's hard drive or other storage media to protect your data and as a precaution against possible operational failures.. Before you deliver your product for warranty service it is your responsibility to keep a separate backup copy of the system software, application software and data, and disable any security passwords. You will be responsible for reinstalling all such software, data and passwords. MediaCenter (Apple Authorized Service Providers) are not liable for any damage to or loss of any programs, data, or other information stored on any media, or any non-Apple product or part not covered by this warranty. Recovery and reinstallation of system and application software and user data are not covered under this Limited Warranty.
Warranty Turn around time Warranty claim procedure requires minimum 7 working days from the date of receiving. Also unit will be under Company custody and all conditions apply on Apple warranty policy. |
